At 6:50 pm on October 2nd, Arthur David Castelli Chen was born!!

Mama and baby are healthy and stable. Pitocin is set to 20 and they are monitoring.

Long labor but everything is looking good! 🤞🏻

Now with the epidural she’s just taking some power naps in between switching positions. Still 6-7 cm with 80% effacement. Next check at 2:30

Annalisa’s parents have arrived! She’s much chiller now post epidural. She was even able to snore and get some shut-eye😁

Next cervical exam incoming in the next hour.

Annalisa just finished getting the epidural placed. Hopefully she can get some more sleep 😴

Was a productive stretch! Turns out the 6cm at 1:30 am was a missed estimate. She’s around 5 now and have good strong contractions.

Annalisa got a couple hours of sleep and is lying down now through the contractions. Next cervical check at 10 am

6 centimeters dilated, this girl is a champ!!! She’s feeling good, had some IV meds and she’s chilling now 🥰

Pitocin has started and we’re going to try to get a couple hours of sleep while her cervix dilates. See everyone in a lil bit!

And she’s at 3 cm. Fast progress!

She’s gonna get a balloon up in there and then we’re going to try to sleep a lil. Hoping she gets to 5cm by 7 am!!

Just spent an hour getting a bunch of info from nurses and doctors. Annalisa on magnesium and she’s feeling hot hot hot.

Induction imminent!

Moved from triage to the room we’ll be delivering in! Time to hunker down 💪

Well we were at a pregnancy checkup and the blood pressure came in high! 2 hours later and we’re at Swedish first hill getting blood work and IV drip.

Midwife recommends obgyn, and we will begin induction shortly!
